Professional Biography
Dr Genevieve von Lob has worked as a Clinical Psychologist within NHS adult and Child and Adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) as well as in private practice for over 10 years. Her book “Happy Parent, Happy Child — A 10-step guide to stress free parenting” was published by Penguin at the beginning of 2019.
Dr Genevieve has also carried her message into the media with appearances on Channel Four, Radio 4 Woman’s Hour, Channel Five, and is quoted regularly by national media.
She trained at Salomons, Canterbury Christ Church University and completed her accreditation in CBT at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London. She is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and Associate Fellow registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Health Professions Council (HCPC).
One of Dr Genevieve’s particular passions is the power of music and singing to promote wellbeing and was the topic of her doctoral research alongside the Sidney De Haan Research Centre for Arts and Health. She has an interest in working with Highly Sensitive People (HSP), a term defined by Elaine Aron and is listed as an HSP knowledgable therapist Dr Genevieve is also a founding member of the Bright Sky Community, a platform for practitioners, changemakers and ethical entrepreneurs. Dr Genevieve has also been trained by Lisa Schwarz in the use of Comprehensive Resource Model, a trauma treatment model.
Dr Genevieve is also a mum, loves playing piano, guitar, singing, dancing, walks in nature and exploring new healing paradigms in the fields of psychology and spirituality.
